When you provide all your content and imagery, we can build your site and have it up and running in one business week**.
We also schedule in your training session over Zoom that runs you through how to use the features we’ve built in to your site, that you can keep as your reference video.
**All content and imagery must be provided by the client in advance of project commencement. Though the design phase can be completed in one week, our experience is that businesses require time to test their site, recognise further needs from a successful design and potentially decide to provide more information to be incorporated than originally thought.
Clients should expect their website project to take four weeks from the day content is fully provided to the Social Ocean website design team.
WordPress website builds at Social Ocean start with the design phase. Generally, we provide our clients with 2 or 3 layouts that will cover all of your business and current website needs.
Clients then provide feedback and request changes from these designs to finalise a group of layouts for use with the remainder of the site build.
We provided customised layouts, branded and populated with the text supplied by the client keeping their customer needs in mind at all times.
Providing content means, that you as the business, need to provide the text/information to be inserted into text sections. If you don’t provide this information, your website won’t be ready to fully launch until it’s been written.
Providing imagery means, that you as the business, need to provide the photos to be inserted into the photo sections. If you don’t provide this information, Social Ocean will either maintain the template imagery – which may not be suitable for your business – or use stock imagery relative to your industry but not customised to your business branding.
Visually appealing, informative and product highlights are easily achieved via Stock images as you build your site.
Domain purchase, website hosting, specialised plugin subscriptions (where required), copy-writing and professional photography costs are in addition to the Social Ocean fees for service and are at the client’s additional expense.
Some of these expenses will be required to be paid on an annual or bi-annual basis.
These additional payments will be required to be paid for by you as the client as they will become part of business owned assets e.g. Domain name.
A Domain name is the website address you purchase for your business e.g. Social Ocean’s Domain name is www.socialocean.com.au and we purchased this Domain via a third party domain registration company.
Further training on how to use your WordPress website for basic ongoing maintenance is included with the quote prepared for by Social Ocean. Multiple attendees requiring training can be requested for an additional fee.
We provide this training via video link and record that video for clients to use as a reference on “how to edit” their site. It’s included in your project fees.
In addition to that, clients can book in a video training session (approx. three hours) for one-to-one instruction and practice training. The timing of this training is relative to the size of your website and your ability/skill level of using computers. These training sessions are an additional fee.
A small monthly retainer can be requested for the Social Ocean team to support your content marketing by uploading and publishing articles on your behalf, regularly updating website features, and keeping your site fresh or featuring your latest promotion, event or campaign. This is a service provided for an additional fee.
