Ocean Network is an official Meetup group founded by local business owners Kirsty Fields (from Social Ocean) and Leanne Blaney (from Adventure School with Leanne) for members of the greater Moreton Bay region’s business community.
Perfect for business networking, the Ocean Network run two events each month from February to November.
Generally each event features a guest speaker offering educational information to assist business owners.
Guest speakers are selected to present to the group based on information they could provide for our members.
We strive to engage educational-based speakers to help guests to become better at business, or to be better people in business.
Business owners looking to network in a wholesome and successful way, there’s nothing better than face-to-face networking.
You can gain B2B referrals and connect with your next collaborative partner. Networking is an excellent way to promote your business to a community of like-minded entrepreneurs.
Meeting at The Belvedere Hotel, Woody Point on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings of the month, guests and members are able to arrive from 7:15am.
Minor costs are consumed by the Founders in partnership with The Belvedere – the home of celebrations – and therefore attendance to guests is free.
Events like this provide an excellent service for home-based business owners. As an external outlet for those who may struggle with the ‘home/office’ scenario.
Home-based business owners also often work with other service-based providers that they can connect with at groups like this.
Ocean Network initially launched in 2017 as a group of Redcliffe-based businesses connected to Founder, Kirsty Fields.
Due to requests, it opened to business owners from the whole of the Moreton Bay Region, before launching as an events-based group after Kirsty collaborated with Leanne.
Though based at Woody Point, the Tuesday Meetup group is open to business owners young and old alike, from any industry and or format of business.
In addition of being a place of referrals or recommendations, the Ocean Network looks to create a supportive group to casually provide advice, tips, motivation and even accountability for those who are a business of one and finding the life of business lonely.
Interest in applying to be a guest speaker can be submitted via the Speakers Form on this page. Submit your application with all required fields for consideration.
