Ocean Network is a business networking group founded by local business owners Kirsty Fields (from Social Ocean) and Leanne Blaney (from Adventure School with Leanne) for members of the greater Moreton Bay region’s business community.
Perfect for business networking, the Ocean Network run two events each month from February to November.
Each event features a guest speaker offering educational information to assist business owners. Guest speakers are selected to present to the group based on information they could provide to our members on a volunteer basis. We engage experts who can discuss educational topics that will help our members to become better at business, or to be better people to be able to do business.
For business owners looking to network in a wholesome, friendly and successful way, there’s nothing better than face-to-face networking. Creating lasting working relationships, gain B2B referrals and connect with your next collaborative partner are all outcomes of connecting with others directly. Networking is also an excellent way to promote your business to a community of like-minded entrepreneurs.
Meeting at The Belvedere Hotel, Woody Point on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings of the month, guests and members are able to arrive at 7:30am.
Minor costs are consumed by the Founders in partnership with The Belvedere – the home of celebrations – and therefore attendance to all guests is free. Guests pay only what they select to order from the menu at each event.
Events like this provide an excellent service for home-based business owners. As an external outlet for those who may struggle with the ‘home/office’ scenario.
Home-based business owners often work with other service-based providers and this group offers a way to connect with each other.
Ocean Network initially launched in 2017 as a group of Redcliffe-based businesses connected to Founder, Kirsty Fields. By request, it opened to business owners from the whole of the Moreton Bay Region, before going on to launch as a face-to-face event based group after Kirsty collaborated with Leanne.
Save these dates to your diary for 2023 Ocean Network events.
Though based at Woody Point, Ocean Network is open to business owners young and old alike, from any industry and/or format of business.
In addition of being a place of referrals or recommendations, the Ocean Network looks to create a supportive group to provide advice, tips, motivation and even accountability especially for those who are a business of one and find their life of business lonely.
