Brissie Big Air

Local kite boarders from Queens Beach North needed assistance to grow the professionalism and potential of the annual kite surfing competition: Brissie Big Air.

Now in it’s fourth year, Brissie Big Air is a unique local sporting competition that attracts over 30 competitors and thousands of supporters from around South East Queensland.

Affiliated with Kiteboarding Queensland and Kiteboarding Australia, the group of volunteers work for several months each year to coordinate the event held in November.

Social Ocean has offered practical and expert sport marketing advice, as well as hands on action from our team.

Project Brief included:

• Graphic Design: Branding – the competition now has an official competition logo and branding elements.
• Graphic Design: various campaign elements including Facebook and Instagram artwork, content creation, blog imagery and key messaging
• Social Media support: new account creation and optimisation for ease of community messaging and sharing
• Social Media support: strategy and guidance to volunteers
• Website Design: designed and launched an easy to manage and self-editing website via Wix
• Events Marketing: strategy and guidance to volunteers regarding sponsorship attraction, sponsorship benefits and revenue raising activities.

Campaign and project support commenced by Social Ocean in June 2021 and will be ongoing into the 2021 event period in November.
